A bit of help from Daddy.
On the hottest day of the year so far we had a fabulous picnic on Greatstone beach with Anita, Steve, Isaac, Ira and Grandad. Ian didn't mind missing the England world cup game; it was just as painful to listen to the game on the radio! The water is much warmer than Hythe, the huge tide means that the sea warms up from the heat of the sand. It is also really safe for the children as it is so shallow and great for sandcastles and sand art. We have been trying some ideas from a new book I bought; "Make it Wild! by Danks and Schofield. Definately an inspiring book for the summer holiday and camping trips
